JNU Violence: Taapsee Pannu, Vishal Dadlani And Hansal Mehta Hit Back At BJP Spokesperson Shaina NC; Details Inside
A non-violent protest was held at Carter Road in Mumbai to condemn the violence that took place on the campus of JNU. Many celebs like Taapsee Pannu, Anurag Kashyap, Dia Mirza and others were a part of it. Shaina NC though called it a publicity stunt by the stars on Twitter
The recent violent attacks on the students and teachers of Jawaharlal Nehru University have left everyone in shock. Twitter is abuzz condemning the violence. Meanwhile, a non-violent protest was held at Carter Road, Mumbai calling for strict action against the miscreants. Many celebrities like Taapsee Pannu, Anurag Kashyap, Dia Mirza and others attended it. Videos and photos of them are all over social media. However, Shaina NC doesn't seem to be pretty happy with Bollywood raising their voice against the issues concerning the nation.
Shaina took to her Twitter and stated that it is a publicity stunt by the stars. In one of the tweets, she wrote, "What Mumbai saw yesterday in the name of protests at Gateway, was shameful and despicable. How can posters of ‘Free Kashmir’ be accepted in any protest on Indian soul. This is a question we can ask on twitter and Instagram.Did our freedom fighters give their blood to see this day?." In the next tweet, she tagged the stars and wrote, "Its deplorable that the likes of @senaparna @taapsee @ReallySwara @anuragkashyap72 @mehtahansal @VishalDadlani @Mdzeeshanayyub are standing with those who espouse the cause of ‘Free Kashmir.’Their antics and publicity stunts are comprehensively rejected by the youth of India." It did not go unnoticed by the stars who gave it back to her. Taapsee Pannu wrote, "I guess u got the wrong memo. But never mind ma’am, it’s not the first time. Huge respect for actually looking into the matter soooooo deeply. Regards."
Dear @ShainaNC, you seem to have lost the plot completely! BJP was clearly right to deny you a ticket. Stop spouting defamatory rubbish to come back into the limelight. It's a sad struggle to watch.
